My name is Ken Hauck and I would like to take a minute to let you know that I have been appointed to be the principal of the Minisink Valley High School.  I graduated from Minisink in 1989 and had a great experience at Minisink as a student/athlete.  My teachers and coaches were vested in my success and helped me to become the person I am today.  It has been an honor to come back and work at Minisink with the faculty and staff, to pass on the experience that I received as a student to the future generations of Warriors.  I have worked at Minisink for 15 years as a physical education teacher, health teacher, coach and assistant principal.  I am looking forward to the challenges of the principal position and to the collaborative working environment that we have enjoyed for many years.  We will have some new challenges to face this year, but I am confident that we, as a faculty/staff, will rise to the occasion and make this a great year for the students of Minisink Valley.

Welcome, students, as you enter or return to a high school that is filled with opportunities and challenges.  There are many activities and groups for you to get involved in.  You will gain valuable experiences and make life-long friendships.  Your courses will be challenging as New York State has been raising the standards over the past few year.  It will be important for you to be involved in both your course work and to be involved in activities on campus.  Together, they provide the best high school experience and create the most well-rounded individuals.  Your teachers and administrators are vested in your success and the success of our school.  Take pride in yourself and in your school, work hard to be the best person you can be.  As you acquire skills and develop your character, be reminded that not only do you represent yourself, your family and your school, but you are the future of America.  Be a good person, work hard, and stand up for what is right.  HAVE A GREAT YEAR!
