Minisink Valley High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society recently inducted its new officers for the class of 2018-2019.

They will follow in the footsteps of outgoing officers who set high standards of service, working above and beyond their call of duty to advance the program and make significant contributions to its proud history. As they passed the torch to their counterparts, each current officer highlighted an example of the positive impact each candidate has had on the school community.

“I am so happy that Mackenzie Arns will take on the role as NHS president,” said senior and outgoing president, Danielle Bellettiere. “Mackenzie is kind, and a hard worker. She is the perfect person for the job.” Evan Stouber was inducted as vice-president. “Evan is the nicest student you will ever meet. He will do anything for anyone. He is approachable, and will certainly work well with the other officers to be a great vice president,” Danielle added.

Additional inductees are Saige Colon, secretary, Emily Abruzzese, treasurer, and Jessica Mattera-Head, mentor.

“The new officers committed to giving their time and effort to carry out the responsibilities and principles of the National Honor Society,” said Alyson Luscher, NHS advisor. “Today’s world needs faithful and efficient leaders, as never before, and our chapter is looking forward to a new group of dedicated students to lead our members and serve as positive role models.”

Congratulations to all newly inducted officers!
